Hello dear readers, welcome to my fashion blog where I know we will have an amazing time together!

My fashion journey has been one of personally courageous self-discovery-- I grew up in Portland, Oregon, land of the flannels, beanies, and skinny jeans. Patagonia ("Padagucci") being the only acceptable brand name to have visible, in this anti-capitalist, perpetually gloomy hipster paradise. Any bold fashion expression was met with, "what are you so dressed up for?" A question that always filled me with pity and disgust! And yet, society was somehow getting to me, as I felt very fearful to truly venture outside of what I perceived to be "feminine", lest my dating life become any more difficult.

When I finally committed to moving to New York, very inspired by drag-as-an-art-form at the time, and its alchemical potential within, the metamorphosis began... I admitted that I enjoyed looser silhouettes, did away with my jeans, played with chunky shoes... and when I finally did arrive in The Big Apple, it didn't take me long to even shave my head! A complete reconfiguration of beauty as I knew it, from the inside out. What followed was a massive fashion overhaul, through phases of androgyny, glamor, pastels, vintage, neon rave bae, and currently arriving at a 80s-femme-country Indian-inspired comfort wardrobe (it'll all make sense soon). All along the way, I've taken notes, offering myself as a Guinea-pig of social-studies: observing how the different genders, generations, and sexualities experience what facet I chose to reveal that day.

Now, I feel very passionate to share the most important fashion lessons I've learned along the way:

  • Nothing is real

  • The vibe you emit is half the story

  • Laws of attraction and design do have some hard truths

  • Expressing yourself FULLY is what will allow you and your tribe to find each other. It is of highest service to all.

  • Being kind to your body, both in permission to wear what you desire deep down, the comfort/ pleasure you grant it, and deciding that you are a hottie, is the most important of all.

Through this blog journey, I'll be sharing my outfits with you: what inspired me, how I got there, and HOW I FEEL in the clothes: in sensation, internal energy, and how I find people to respond. My hope is that this glimpse of my authentic expression will inspire you to also courageously venture into revealing the truth of how you desire to feel, and most vulnerably be seen.
