Un-Serious | Playful Fashion for the Comfort Queen

Welcome to the dancefloor—a place of connection, soul ecstasy, joy, and sweat. And ya’ girl brings a wholllee lot of it ALL. When I go dancing, the look is a high art of Feeling Myself, comfort, creating invitation, and a tasteful nod to whatever culture I enter.
This particular event is called Soul in The Horn: put on by the originals, the greats of the Brooklyn house music scene, it is a mix of DJ decks and live music, together or apart. Over the years it has become an absolute Mecca for dancers of all backgrounds, and or people who love to go ham-slam, full lust for life.
My fit goals? Wear as little as possible, while honoring the lines of my body, being able to jump into the splits if I want, unfussy, baggy pants (my begrudging acceptance that they go hand-in-hand with street styles because I just wanna wear shorts), and SPARKLES.
The resulting creation, is a pair of white terry track pants with green details, a metallic green bikini, rhinestone hoops, and some chain details. Feeling a bit of Missy Elliott, a bit Y2K. I received many compliments, which I only see as success for the means of breaking the ice; a chance to love more people, and expand my dance community.
